The Lady Wolverines defeated Chattooga on Tuesday night at Magic Morgan Stadium by a score of 3-1. The Lady Wolverines scored first when Caroline Tremmier hammered home a penalty kick after a Chattooga hand ball in the box. The Lady Wolverines struggled in the first half to maintain possession and play with energy and gave up a late first half goal that equalized the match at halftime. The second half was a different story though. The Lady Wolverines came out of the half more determined and energetic. They were able to start combining passes and slowly took over the match. Two quick goals at the midway point of the second half by Harli Crabtree (assisted by Caroline Tremmier) and Abby Dwyer (assisted by Kendal Garner) effectively put the game out of reach as Chattooga was unable to mount any sort of comeback. A couple great saves in the first half by Abbigail Tremmier kept the Lady Wolverines in the match and lockdown defense from Bailey Davis, Julie Silverthorne, Harli Crabtree, Karlee Welch, and Samantha Tremmier in the second half helped preserve the win. The win moves the Lady Wolverines to 4 wins, 5 losses in the region and moves them ahead of Pepperell for the 4th spot in the region standings. The Lady Wolverines are scheduled to be back in action on Thursday at home against Fannin County. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00pm.
