Wolverine Fans,

The DCHS Boys Basketball team has qualified for the State Playoffs for the first time since 2017.  It has been enjoyable to watch this team compete and turn things around under the direction of first year head coach, Mark Whitt.  The Wolverines (9-9) will travel to Pace Academy (23-1) this Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 pm.  These guys are ready to get back on the floor after experiencing an overtime loss in the consolation bracket of the Region 7AA tournament to Coosa HS.  The attendance guidelines for the boys playoff game will not be as strict as our girls will experience at South Atlanta HS, but it will be limited.

Admission: Per GHSA, $7.00 admission. Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 160 (80
tickets for each team) inside our gymnasium for our first-round state playoff games. This does not
include the teams/coaches and/or any GHSA pass-eligible spectators. Any spectators attempting to
gain paid admission into the gymnasium after their school’s ticket allocation will be denied admission.

The game will be livestreamed by Pace Academy for those of you with an account on the NFHS Network.  If you do not have an account, you can sign up for a $10 monthly fee which can be canceled at anytime.  We have been told that no outside radio crew will be allowed, but our working on permission to bring you the radio broadcast live by one of our DCHS administrators, even if we have to sit in the stands with a headset and mask.  If allowed, the game will be broadcasted live at WKWN (1420 AM, 101.3 FM, or by downloading the APP on your phone).  Please read the Visiting Team Welcome Letter below.  These attendance and Covid guidelines will be strictly enforced by the host school, so read carefully if you plan to attend.  They have also provided us a map of the campus to share with visiting fans.
