On Monday, the DCHS Competition Cheerleaders took the mat for the last time in what seemed to be the season that would never end. After learning that two athletes would not be on the floor, one due to health reasons and the other because of quarantine, they tightened their bows and left it all on the floor in their best performance of the season. They hit teams goals of zero deductions and everything hitting – literally saving the best for last. Other teams had great showings as well, so the placement wasn’t what they hoped for, but they improved on the 14th place finish from two years ago. On the season, this team placed 2nd at Pepperell, breaking the Pepperell Curse, 1st at Dalton and Heritage, and made the GHSA Sweet Sixteen for the second time in three years. Congrats ladies!
