Boys Varsity Basketball · DCHS Boys Basketball Back to the W Column

After losing to Chattooga on Friday, the Wolverine Boys Basketball team did what they usually do after a loss.  They put it behind them and bounced back to get another Region 7AA win over Coosa, 71-69.  This team has showed maturity in the way they deal with adversity.  One thing that first year head coach Mark Whitt hoped at the very beginning of this season. It had recently taken four overtimes at home to defeat the Eagles and Monday night ended with Coosa missing a three pointer at the rim to win the game.  The Wolverines have had their taste of close games this year, winning some and losing some.  They’ve been tested and have showed they can play with anyone in Region 7AA.  The upcoming Region 7AA Tournament should be an exciting one!  The Wolverines are still fighting for as high as a number three seed, however, nothing is set in stone just yet.

Congratulations on another region victory!  The boys move to 7-7 overall, 6-5 in conference play.  Come see them Wednesday night at home against Fannin County.  Girls begin at 6pm with the boys following around 7:30pm.  Hope to see you there!
