Girls Varsity Softball · Lady Wolverines Softball turn it on late in Region 7AA win over Coosa

The Lady Wolverines knocked in six runs in the fifth on its way to a 9-1 victory over Coosa on Tuesday. Dade County’s big inning was driven by singles by Emma Heard, Olivia Tierce, Kristen Fowler, Michaela Massey and a home run by Alyssa Wilson. The Lady Wolverines tallied six runs in the fifth inning.  Kami Counts got the win for Dade County. She went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four.

Nutter toed the rubber for Coosa. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out one. Dade County hit one home run on the day. Alyssa Wilson went deep in the fifth inning. Fowler led Dade County with three hits in four at bats. The Lady Wolverines tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Ali Thompson led the way with three. Dade County was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

The Lady Wolverines are 7-3-1 Overall and 2-0 in Region 7AA.
