Each day in May, Dade County High School would like to take the time to recognize a different senior who participated in spring sports. Unfortunately, their seasons were cut very short due to COVID-19. Along with missing half their seasons, these seniors did not have the opportunity to be recognized during their senior nights, a tradition where we learn a little more about our seniors during their last home game. This Senior Spring Athlete Spotlight Series is one of several small projects we have planned for our 28 seniors who participated in athletics at DCHS this spring. We know this does not come close to taking the place of missing the opportunity to play for a region championship or going to the state playoffs, but we want you to know we are thinking of you and we appreciate you here at DCHS.
Today, we recognize Senior Ben Robertson. He is a member of the DCHS Tennis Team. Coach Kaity Mizell had this to say about Ben, “He was a true leader this season! He showed us all what a great athlete is by giving 100% at every practice to better himself, giving 100% to his matches, and giving 110% by using his own personal time on the weekends to help his teammates better their game!” Warmest congratulations on your upcoming graduation. Thank you for the way you have represented Dade County High School during your time here.
