Game One Summary
Kami Counts didn’t allow a single run as the Lady Wolverines defeated Bremen 5-0 on Tuesday. Counts allowed just one hit. A single by Harrod in the first inning was a positive for Bremen. Counts was the winning pitcher for Dade County. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out three and walking one. Haley started the game for Bremen. She surrendered five runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Wesler threw two innings in relief. Dade County racked up ten hits on the day. Kaitlyn Stinnett, Michaela Massey, and Counts all managed multiple hits for the Lady Wolverines. Stinnett went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Dade County in hits. Harrod led Bremen with one hit in three at bats.
Game Two Summary
Dade County had a tough time generating runs on Tuesday in game two, dropping their game with Bremen 9-1. Bremen got things started in the first inning. Newland hit a solo homer. Bremen pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Harrod doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Richardson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Bremen scored six runs in the fourth inning. Bremen’s big inning was driven by doubles by Daniel, Harper, and Swales, a single by Brown, and by Harrod.
Kami Counts toed the rubber for the Lady Wolverines. She went three and a third innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and striking out one. Alyssa Wilson threw two-thirds of an inning in relief. Ali Thompson led Dade County with two hits in two at bats. Dade County didn’t commit a single error in the field. Michaela Massey had four chances in the field, the most on the team. Bremen totaled 12 hits. Harrod, Swales, and Cook each collected multiple hits for Bremen.
