Wolverines News · Henry signs with Covenant

On Friday, March 16, Gage Henry signed with Covenant College to continue his basketball career as a Scot. Some of Henry’s accomplishments include being named 7AA First Team All-Region during his junior and senior year and being selected for the Northwest Georgia Tip-Off Club Player of the Year Team. As a senior, Henry led the entire state of Georgia in assists averaged per game and total steals for the season, according to Maxpreps.com. Nationally, he was ranked 12th in assists averaged per game. In January, his steal and half court buzzer beater made the national Hudl Top 5 Plays of the Week. Because of his tenacious defense, his vision on the court, and his remarkable passing ability, Henry set assists and steals records at Dade County High School and was also a stat leader in the tri-state area.

In addition to his success on the basketball court, Henry is also the top male runner for DCHS in cross country and track and has made appearances at state in both sports. While successfully representing DCHS as a three-sport athlete, he also worked hard in the classroom and will be graduating in the top twenty of his class.
